Echeveria Gibbiflora v. Mauna Loa

Outstanding
Echeveria Gibbiflora v. Mauna Loa

Mauna Loa is an active volcano on the Big Island of Hawaii. This plant looks like a mini-volcano, with thick rings of bright red-purple leaves. The leaves grow in spiral rosettes, with the outer leaves showing the deepest coloration.
This variety of the echeveria gibbiflora is in huge demand and we have a very limited number of these healthy plants. (Shipped bareroot, as with all of our plants.)
As the grow, they will develop crests and thick protuberences, giving them a truely unique character. (See picture of a plant from last year's crop at the right.)
These are easy care plants, they like the air outdoors.
Perfect gift plant

Large
(Growing in 8 inch pot,

NOTE: These sell quite rapidly. If we are sold out of this size, we will substitute one size smaller and refund the different.

Lots of wrinkles and crinckes,
bold red leaves

The echeveria gibbiflora mauna loa is exceptional. The coloration is a dark red. These plants love bright sun and fresh air in the summer. Water carefully so that water does not go into the center of the rosette (this can cause rot). You can propogage by cuttings. Stem (head) cuttings are easier on this one, leaf cuttings require a bit more work. and, since the leaves will have unique crest shapes, a single plant can generate many interesting plants in the future.

This is a similar plant, one year later. Planted in a 16-inch diameter pot and grown outdoors in medium bright sun, the plant has developed crests and a multitude of protuberences, true character!

Smaller Mauna Loa
The 5-6 inch size Gibbiflora Mauna Loa has the same exceptional colors of the plant above, but smaller. Same great plant, with thick leaves. Well rooted and very healthy, give it some nice summer sun and you'll get some excellent growth this season.
$19.95

Echeveria Gibbiflora Arlie Wright Hybrid
Very Limited Supply

Unique
Echeveria Gibbiflora v. Arlie Wright

You can search the world and never find this one! It is an exceptional echeveria, about 10-12 inches in diameter, developed and propagated in San Diego, California, by a legendary plant biologist.

Echeveria Arly WrightH.JPG (481728 bytes)

This plant has a beautiful mottled brown color, with occasional tints of pink towards the stem and tips of the leaves. Likes filtered light. Echeverias are night breathers, so, watering at dusk is preferred.
Care is similar to the Mauna Loa (above) and likewise it will develop tubers and distortions that provide outstanding character. The outermost leaves on this plant are extremely wide and may crack during shipping, handle carefully. This does not damage the plant and they would fall off seasonally, in any event.
You'll have this plant for many years and in that time it will never cease to amaze you!
Only have a couple, inquire via e-mail
